Here’s a simple step-by-step explanation of how employees can clock in, clock out, and log project time:

🕒 1. Clock In / Clock Out

If your organization uses Time and Attendance, follow these steps:

Path:
Common > Time and Attendance > Electronic Timecard

Steps:

  • Open the Electronic Timecard form.
  • Click Clock-in to start your workday.
  • Record Break times using the Break registration (if applicable).
  • Click Clock-out when you finish your shift.

Note: Depending on your setup, breaks can be paid or unpaid and may require manual or automatic registration.

📅 2. Enter Project Time

If you’re working on specific projects, you can register hours under those projects:

Steps:

  • In the same Electronic Timecard or Project Timesheet, enter:
    • Start and End Time
    • Project ID
    • Activity / Task
    • Category (e.g., development, consulting, testing)
    • Description (optional, for detailed notes)

⛑ 3. Submit Timesheet

After filling out your working hours:

  • Review entries for each day.
  • Click Transfer to Send for Approval.
  • Your manager or designated approver will receive a notification to review and approve.

Review and Approval Processes for Managers

Once a timesheet is submitted by an employee, managers can go to below path to approve it.

Path:
Time and Attendance > Review and approve > Approve.

Click OK to proceed

Select the worker from the list and click on calculate.

You can see all overview and line details.

🎯 Print specification

Use the ‘Print’ function on the approval screen to generate a report showing:
– Registered hours
– Pay rates
– Project breakdown
