As Microsoft continues to enhance the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC) experience, you may have noticed a new Environment View toggle available in the Environments section. While the refreshed interface looks modern and provides a different navigation experience, we recently discovered an important limitation that administrators should be aware of.
This week’s Friday Tip is especially relevant for Power Platform Administrators, Solution Architects, Developers, and Environment Managers who regularly perform environment copy and refresh operations.
What Changed?
In PPAC, Microsoft has introduced a new Environment View that can be enabled via a toggle switch.
When enabled:
- Updated environment management experience
- Refreshed UI and navigation
- Different environment operation screens
While these changes appear promising, there is currently an issue impacting environment copy operations.
Issue Observed: Transactionless Copy Option Missing
When the New Environment View toggle is turned ON, and you attempt to perform a Copy Environment operation from a Source environment to a Destination environment, the option for:
Transactionless Copy is no longer available.
This can be problematic for organizations that rely on transactionless copy scenarios for testing, development, troubleshooting, or environment refresh activities.

Current Workaround
Until Microsoft resolves the issue:
- Navigate to Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).
- Locate the New Environment View toggle.
- Turn the toggle OFF.
- Retry the Copy Environment operation.
- Verify that the Transactionless Copy option becomes available again.
This workaround has been consistently observed during environment management activities.
